What’s Your Number

What’s your number?

v1

Another year behind me.

Another trip around the sun.

More than half my life behind me,

But feels like it’s just begun.

Age is just a number

It’s how you live that’s key.

Older than I’ve ever been,

As young as I’ll ever be.

Chorus:

What’s your number?

Is there a day you’d go back to?

So many of my favorites

Are the one’s since I found you.

To see your face when I wake up

Is the prayer I always pray

I think I’ll choose tomorrow

It’s my next new favorite day.

V2.

Looking back on childhood

Wondering who I’d be at 10.

Biggest thing on my plate

Was a baseball game to win.

Take a glance at 18

I get stuck there sometimes it seems.

Left friends and sports behind in high school

But still live there in my dreams.

V3.

I remember 33

Blessed with the kids she’s given me.

Three new views on the world

And they mean the world to me.

The 40’s were some tough ones

Like the year their mom walked out,

But losing my own mother

Was the toughest there’s no doubt.

Chorus:

What’s your number?

Is there a day you’d go back to?

So many of my favorites

Are the ones since I found you.

To see your face when I wake up

Is the prayer I always pray.

I think I’ll choose tomorrow

It’s my next new favorite day.

Bridge

Rolling towards the future

Hand in hand my beautiful bride.

What’s our next new adventure

On this wild and crazy ride?

No matter what the number,

You’ll always be the one.

Got half our lives behind us,

But we’ve only just begun.

Chorus:

What’s your number?

Is there a day you’d go back to?

So many of my favorites

Are the ones since I found you.

To see your face when I wake up

Is the prayer I always pray

I think I’ll choose tomorrow

It’s my next new favorite day.
